Thresholds are net worth per adult from the WealthPercentile model (Statistics Norway for Norway). Returns and threshold growth are in real terms (after inflation). This is an illustration, not a forecast or advice: returns vary and are not guaranteed.
Questions
What return should I assume?
Long-run real returns have been roughly 5–7% a year for global stocks and 1–3% for bonds and cash, with large swings in between. A mixed portfolio sits in between. Use a lower number to be cautious.
Why do the thresholds rise?
Other people save and invest too. Average wealth per adult has grown in real terms in most countries, so the line for the top 10% or top 1% moves up over time. The default assumes 1.5% a year.
Does it count my partner?
No. All thresholds are per adult. If you share finances, enter your half.
